Esquina Cantina

The owners at Round Corner Cantina in Pittsburg, PA. Wanted to breathe new life into their already blossoming cantina in order to attract the evolving demographic of local, young professionals and offer a menu built on Mexican and Mesoamerican foodways, while also incorporating new thoughtfully-curated dishes.

For this project, we created a powerful brand system that is rooted in vibrant and retro imagery, audacious aesthetic, and strong messaging specifically tailored to the evolution of Cantina.

The Esquina Cantina branding alludes to ancient Oaxacan sourced food with hand-drawn style typography, organic patterns, and an eccentric color palette inspired by natural colors in the town of Oaxaca.

Changing the name from Round Corner Cantina to Esquina Cantina, also to prepare them for a season of scaling locations.
